Lying wide awake, I fear the night and what it may bring.

Darkness brings demons after all.

Or is that just a myth?

I don’t know what to believe anymore, but I surely feel something now.

Or do I?

Feel something, that is.

Maybe I just feel like feeling something because it’s better than feeling nothing at all.

I feel heavy, sluggish, exhausted.

This heaviness stays with me.

I’m afraid it always will.

I’m afraid I will never sleep again, but the restlessness is kicking in.

Lying wide awake, I fear the night and what it may bring.

But tonight, I will find rest.

The darkness and demons won’t haunt me anymore.

Tonight, enough is enough.
